ID Printing Business Part II

In my last post, I was discussing about creating an identification card using the lamination process. In this post, let us talk about another method of producing IDs- the direct printing method. Honestly I prefer this method because it is less complicated. It can save electricity because laminating machine is no longer used. The direct printing process uses the Polyvinyl Chloride or PVC as popularly known.

To use this method, you need to have the following equipment:
1. Pre-cut pvc cards
2. Inkjet printers capable of direct printing( I am using Epson R230 and converted to CISS)
3. PVC tray

The process is quite easy. You just have to layout your ID using a graphic software preferably Photoshop. Then using the pvc tray, place the pre cut pvc cards in it and put the tray in the direct printing tray of the printer and print. You can already print in full color both sides of the ID with a very minimal cost.

Aside from printing ids using your direct printing printer, you can also print other products like bag tag using the same pre cut pvc cards, you can also print pictures from mobile phones and digital cameras, accept invitation cards and business cards. You can definitely do a lot of things using that printer.
